Different ways of moving back

Yes their are two different ways of moving back , which is a common mistake in badminton for some reason.

The two types are chaseeing and walking back.

So when do you use which one?

Well the majority of times when you do a good net shot , you stay with your front foot on the service line , either getting ready to kill the net shot back , or if they lift run back and play your shot, most likeley if it is a very good net shot , another smash to win the point!

If you do a bad net , then go back to the middle with your racket foot in front , this is because if they lift it you can get it , and a drop you can get it. If you stod at the front , then you wouldn't have enough time to get to the back.

If you lift the shot then , you walk back in timing with your opponents shot , so this varies ,it might be quickly for a flater lift or a slow walk for a really high lift. You need to asdjudt the timing so by the time you reach the middle , they are about to hit the shuttle - which is when you split.

So I hope this helps , because I have seen so many people whilst playing badminton doing this wrong. This is for singles!
